Suspension & DismissalFolder

At Stride University, the suspension and dismissal policy is designed to maintain academic integrity and uphold the institution's standards. Suspension may occur due to academic underperformance, misconduct, or violation of university regulations. Dismissal can follow if a student fails to meet required conditions after suspension or commits serious offenses.

Students who have been suspended from Stride University are eligible to apply for readmission after a minimum of one (1) academic term. If readmitted, the student will return on academic probation. If the student fails to maintain the minimum required cumulative grade point average while on probation, they will face dismissal and will not be eligible for further readmission to the university.

Students who are dismissed due to unsatisfactory academic progress have the right to appeal. All appeals must be submitted in writing to the Vice President of Academic Affairs within 15 days of receiving the dismissal notice. The university will respond in writing with the final decision. To remain in good academic standing, students must complete their program within 1.5 times the standard duration. Failure to meet this time frame will result in termination due to lack of satisfactory progress.

Eligibility for Readmission After Suspension

Students who have been suspended from Stride University are eligible to apply for readmission only after a minimum of one (1) academic term has passed. This time away from studies allows the student to reassess and prepare for a successful return to the university.

Academic Probation Upon Readmission

If a student is approved for readmission, they will return on academic probation. While on probation, the student must meet or exceed the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) set by the university. This period serves as a final opportunity for the student to demonstrate academic improvement.

Permanent Dismissal for Continued Deficiency

If a student on academic probation fails to meet the required GPA during the probationary term, they will be dismissed from the university. Students dismissed under this condition will not be eligible for any future readmission.

Right to Appeal Dismissal

Students who are dismissed due to unsatisfactory academic progress may submit a written appeal.

  • Appeals must be directed to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
  • The appeal must be submitted within 15 days of receiving the dismissal notice.
  • The university will review the appeal and respond in writing with a final decision.
  • No further appeals will be accepted after this.

Program Completion Time Frame

To remain in good academic standing, students must complete their program within 1.5 times the standard duration.

  • For example, a program with a two-year duration must be completed within three years.
  • Failure to complete the program within this time limit will result in termination due to lack of satisfactory progress.
